Back by Popular Demand - An Evening of Cabaret

The Redwood Does Gershwin

The Redwood Library and Athenæum located in Newport, Rhode Island will host an elegant evening of dining and music on the grounds of the historic National Landmark building on July 21, 2007. Co-Chairs of the event, Nuala Pell, Washington Irving III, Linda Gordon, and Nancy Brickley announced today that The Redwood Does Gershwin will be one of Newport’s premier summer events.  Bettie Bearden Pardee, Nannette Herrick, and Susan Watts will be the evening's Honorary Co-Chairs.

The Redwood Does Gershwin will begin with a cocktail reception in the Redwood Library's beautiful historic buildings.  Dinner, catered by Russell Morin's Fine Catering, will be seated as theatre in the round under a festively decorated tent on the Library grounds. After dinner, guests will enjoy a cabaret performance featuring talented New York Balladeers Mark Nadler and KT Sullivan singing Gershwin favorites. The performance is produced by John W. Stokes.

Invitations will be mailed early May 2006.
