Touro Family 
Isaac Touro, a native of  Holland came to Newport via the West Indies about 1760. 

Chosen priest of Touro Synagogue erected in 1762. Taught Ezra Styles Hebrew. 

Had three children Abraham, Judah and Rebecca. 

In 1854 Judah gave $2000 to Redwood Library for improvements and at his death he left the Library $3000. 
Gave $10,000 toward the Bunker Hill Monument. 

Judah’s sister Rebecca married Joshua Lopez son of Aaron by his second wife,  Sarah Rivera, and grandson of Jabob Rodriguez Rivera.
