Membership

  The Redwood Library and Athenæum uniquely presents not only the history of ideas, but it is also a national treasure of the history of art, architecture, and manuscript. At the same time, the Redwood is a modern library that receives the latest books, magazines, and recordings, and creates digital offerings over the world wide web.

  Subscriber members have full use of the Library and the privilege of borrowing books, recordings, and magazines. They also receive the Library Newsletter, including the Booklist, and are entitled to a 20% discount on Library publications. Shares in the governance of the Library are also available, please inquire.

  Passport Memberships: Your Passport to America's oldest lending library. If you are not near enough to make regular use of the Redwood's circulating collections but would like to support this unique and historic cultural institution, this membership is designed for you.

As a Passport member, you will receive advance notice of all programs and special events, receipt of the Redwood's tri-annual newsletter, 20% discount on all publications and merchandise and an invitation to at least one event per year exclusively for Passport members.
